Phil joined the team at The Management Centre in July 2010 to oversee the day-to-day running; the development of the product offering and to provide operational leadership to the Directors.

Phil's background includes over twenty years experience in the financial services industry in strategic, retail and business banking roles for the UK's largest retail bank. His roles included several senior positions in Wales and Shropshire. He achieved his ACIB in 1986.

In 2006, Phil took over the role of head of the branch network for a leading mutual building society and was subsequently promoted to successfully lead their sales & marketing operation through the 2009/10 UK recession.

Since 1988, Phil has also been actively involved in leadership and management training, initially as a self employed trainer for the world's largest training network and then setting up his own business to run communication, public speaking and leadership training in the UK and internationally. Phil also wrote and delivered a pioneering confidence building programme for under-performing students which ran extensively in schools throughout the Midlands. Phil sits on the Board of a training business who hold charitable trust status in a Non-Executive Director role.

Phil completed his own MBA in 2004.
